IT graduate jobs scarce in UK
A new survey published by the Guardian appears to indicate that IT graduate jobs are becoming hard to find.
The survey looks at graduate jobs and which graduates are most likely to remain as unemployed, with It graduates coming out at 10%. This is in direct contradiction with recent news of a surge in IT job vacancies which indicated rises in both demand and salaries for It staff.
It appears the difference is between the entry level graduate jobs and intermediate level jobs where demand is high and supply short. One possible cause is the increase of outsourcing overseas. It is the simpler entry level jobs which are being outsourced and removes opportunities for new graduates looking for work in the UK.
With the UK economy set to continue to struggle this scenario can only worsen for new IT workers in the IT market.
